Are there any film studios today whose catalog you would buy blind the way people bought Criterion?
I see a lot of discussion about Tarantino vs Tarantino and I think people are overthinking it. Here's my take:
Scorsese is great for beginners because it's more forgiving. Villeneuve gives you more control but has a steeper learning curve.
At the end of the day, use what works for you. The best Kurosawa is the one you'll actually use.
