Brass Birmingham produces perfect games at exactly zero player count — meaning solo mode is not available, which I respect for what the game is.
The scoring variety in 7 Wonders creates genuinely different viable strategies every game. Science, military, civil — all feel balanced.

Travel with a carry-on only: the gate check anxiety is real but overstated. I've had my bag checked at the gate maybe 3 times in 6 years of carry-on-only travel.
Nomadic Matt's website gets criticized but the country cost guides are still useful ballparks for budget planning.
