Stormlight Archive — should I push through the slow start of The Way of Kings?

I need help. I've been working on non-fiction for weeks and I'm stuck.

Here's what I've tried:

Approach A: didn't work because of other priorities
Approach B: partially worked but the results were inconsistent
Approach C: too expensive/time-consuming

Any suggestions? I'm open to completely different approaches.
