Why I think the early Bronco is overpriced and what to buy instead
My grandfather's 1963 split-window Corvette has been in our family since he bought it new. When he passed, it came to me. It hadn't run in 22 years and had been stored in an unheated garage in Michigan.
The bodywork is surprisingly solid — the fiberglass held up well, and there's no rust to speak of beyond surface oxidation on the frame. The engine turns over by hand. The interior is dry-rotted but structurally intact.
I'm not planning to restore this car quickly. I'm planning to restore it correctly. That means sourcing the right parts, documenting everything, and keeping it as factory-correct as possible. This one deserves it.
