What's the deal with Roth IRA?

I need help. I've been working on Roth IRA for weeks and I'm stuck.

Here's what I've tried:

Approach A: didn't work because of cost
Approach B: partially worked but it was too slow
Approach C: too expensive/time-consuming

Any suggestions? I'm open to completely different approaches.
