I listen at 1.8x and I can tell the difference at 2x. There's a threshold where you stop hearing emphasis.
Susanna Clarke takes her time between books and the books are worth every year of the wait.

The absence of chapters in certain novels is the same kind of argument as the absence of punctuation.
Moist von Lipwig is a better creation than Sam Vimes and I will not be moved.
Gaal Dornick's chapters in the first novel are the entry point and they never get enough attention.
The best character developments happen to characters who are already interesting. The arc is discovery, not construction.
Spirit Island on BGA is technically functional but loses so much of the physical engagement. Sometimes a physical game is better digital.
Half Price Books is fine but it's not what I mean when I say used bookstore.
I recommend The Vegetarian to exactly one kind of person: people who trust their own discomfort.
